人白细胞介素-17F（IL-17F）由位于6号染色体上的IL17F基因编码，属于IL-17家族，该家族包含IL-17A、IL-17B、IL-17C、IL-17D、IL-17E和IL-17F。IL-17F与IL-17A具有50%的晶体结构同源性，由活化的T细胞表达，具有刺激其他细胞因子（如IL-6、IL-8和粒细胞集落刺激因子）的产生和PBMC和T细胞的增殖、调节软骨基质周转和抑制血管生成的功能。
